Dr. Green is Chief of Hand Surgery for the California Pacific Medical Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery and has conducted research in wrist biomechanics, scaphoid fractures, distal radius fractures and flexor tendon injuries. After undergraduate education at Stanford University, Dr. Green attended UCSF for medical school. He continued his surgical training at UCSF for his internship and orthopedic surgical residency.

During his hand and upper extremity fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery, he received advanced training in complex hand, wrist, and elbow surgery and worked with professional athletes. He is currently a faculty instructor at UCSF and worked at San Francisco General Hospital early in his career.
